Audrey originated the first U.S. biotech short intensive courses in business and marketing at UCB and UCSC Extensions for working industry professionals in 2002. In response to demand, she developed additional specialized courses including now Bioscience Business and Marketing Essentials, Bioscience Product Management and Bioscience Business Development: Building Value. She collaborated with UCSC to introduce the first Personalized Medicine short course. She currently is an adjunct instructor at UC Berkeley Extension teaching Life Science Product Marketing: It’s All in the Plan; Life Science Business and Marketing: Their Integral Role; and Life Science Business Development.

These courses are not traditional academic, meaning theoretical, courses but rather focus on the applicable and proven. All of these courses bring guest lecturers into the classroom with direct industry experience in the functions and skills being taught in carefully planned and organized curriculum. The goal is to provide the students with an accelerated learning experience to achieve levels of on-the-job capability that equates with years of experience. Audrey provides extensive resources and access to critical information through gratis access to paid subscription databases as possible.

In addition, participants are given tips on taking responsibility for their careers and selecting companies and positions where their career objectives are in alignment with those of their employer helping both achieve success.
